my finished product featuring animals and scenes representative of the four seasons. uncolored versions of each season have been submitted earlier. i've spent so much time on this piece (almost 12 hours!) i really hope you like it. this is definately one of the most original ideas i have ever come up with. i hope it's the start of something great.
done in photoshop..
full views are a MUST!
comments and criticism is very much appreciated. favs would be nice.
please, enjoy!
edit1: took chuweey's advice and changed the border style.. looks pretty good this way
very nice idea, i like the way youve matched colours with visuals and the silhouettes.
one suggestion though, maybe you could have made the panel colours a little more appealing they are all rather dark, as well as added a few bits here and there to relieve it of its stark plainness.
but good work, keep it up!

I'm not a fan of the textured background I think it'll truly be more appealing with a gradient. Maybe a bold white border around each season rectangle could enhance the look a tad.
I adore this piece. Awfully original and lovely. This is a work of the century.
the texture was more of a last minute addition. i thought it looked really plain with so much open space. i actually never thought of using a gradient. thanks so much for the advice. i will definitely tinker with different ideas until i come up with something more presentable.
also, i definitely contemplated sprucing up the borders a bit, as i too agree that they are a little boring and dark. will definitely try other colors as well as multiple border patters.
thanks so much for the fav!! i truly appreciate it!!
